Skill Level
We can adjust our tours to your preferred skill level, but being adventure tours, a certain level of movement/exercise is required to make the most out of the destinations visited. Hikes can be short or long, but all have elevation change and uneven terrain. Snorkeling can be done from the beach, but to see more we can go around a small island or jump to the water from the boat. Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive/Panama City

Arrive at any time. We will pick you up at the International airport and transfer you to your hotel. We will go over the itinerary and answer any last minute questions. Early arrivals can go for a walk in the area or relax by the hotel pool.

Day 2 Panama Canal & Panamanian Countryside

Visit the Panama Canal and learn about the history and operations of this engineering marvel of the world as you watch huge cargo ships passing through. Then we cross the bridge over the Canal and start exploring the Panamanian countryside. We will go to the beach for lunch, make stops for photos, to try local snacks, and check some of the handcrafts made by the local artisans.

Meals: Breakfast | Lunch | Dinner

Day 3 Culture, Waterfalls & Rainforest Night Hike

This morning you will be introduced to Panamanian fry bread or “hojaldres”, which you will probably love and be looking forward to them next morning. Today is about immersion in the local culture, and this is a good way to start. We will go off the beaten path to an organic farm in the mountains and spend some time with the friendly family that lives there. Their graciousness of inviting us into their home to experience their way of life is something special that you will cherish for a long time. From here we will hike to nearby waterfalls and swim in natural stone pools. On the trails you will have the opportunity to see fruit trees, flowers, and spot colorful butterflies. At night you will be invited to go with the guides for a walk in the jungle looking for nocturnal frogs.

Meals: Breakfast | Lunch | Dinner

Day 4 From the Mountains to the Beach

Today you can choose from doing a short hike, go river tubing or moving on to the beach to go for a swim, relax or rent a surfboard and have some fun with the waves. Next destination is Santa Catalina, a small laid-back fishermen's village/surf town where shorts and sandals are the preferred attire. Once there it is highly recommended to visit one of the restaurants in town where you can see the sun set over the Pacific with a cold beer in your hand.

Meals: Breakfast | Lunch

Day 5 Coiba Island National Park Snokeling

Coiba Island is the biggest island in Central America, it used to be the sight of a penal colony that kept development away and allowed nature to thrive. A few years back the penal colony was closed and the government decided to turn the area into a protected National Park. Today, fishermen from neighboring communities provide transportation to this remote and pristine area, with picture perfect tropical islands, beautiful white sandy beaches with crystal clear waters, and incredible snorkeling opportunities where you can swim among schools of fish, turtles, reef sharks, and rays. On the boat ride you can see dolphins and if lucky, a whale shark!

Meals: Breakfast | Lunch

Day 6 Las Lajas Beach & Boquete

After breakfast, we move on to Las Lajas, a huge beach with an undeveloped coastline that stretches as far as the eye can see. This beach is one of those that remain shallow for a long way, the water is warm, the sand is soft, and it's a lot of fun to play in the waves. We will hang out at a place where you can change clothes, rent boogie boards, and eat, so you are welcome to go for a swim, walk, or just enjoy the view. Late afternoon we reach Boquete, Panama's #1 mountain town nestled in a valley where flowers bloom everywhere and rainbows are a common sight. There will be time to go for a walk in town and have dinner at one of the many excellent restaurants in this lovely town.

Meals: Breakfast | Lunch

Day 7 Boquete Coffee Farm Tour & Panama City

Since the early 1900’s small farms planted with coffee trees in rich young volcanic soils have been a part of the scenery in Boquete. With optimum weather conditions, elevation, and the pride and tradition of local coffee growers, Boquete is being recognized for its high quality coffee, recently setting world records for both score and price (94.66/US$803 per pound). Needless to say, this is a good place to do a coffee farm tour. You will visit the grounds of one of these farms and learn about the growing, picking, roasting, and processing of coffee. Whether you are an avid coffee drinker or not, you will find much to enjoy about this very interesting experience. In the afternoon you have a few hours at leisure to walk in town and visit the flower gardens before your afternoon flight back to Panama City.
