Camping
in Panama Camping Destinations: Beaches & Islands Beaches are public property in Panama, therefore you should be able to pitch a tent on any of them. Just make sure you leave no trace behind once you're gone. And before choosing your spot be aware that the tides on the Pacific side can change up to 18 feet/5 meters. National Parks Some parks and protected areas offer the possibility of sleeping on tents inside their limits for a small fee. Native Communities A very cool way to experience one of the native cultures in Panama is by staying overnight with them, for example with the Emberas, or by choosing one of the many small island on Kuna Yala.
